Dear Members,
As I reflect on my first year as President and CEO at Christian Brothers Services, I’ve come to such a great appreciation for the incredible journey we are all on together.
My goal during this year was to learn about this organization and our members. I’ve met with leaders of the Christian Brothers, our management team, our board, employees throughout every division and our members. In doing so, I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way.
I met with a religious Sister who dedicated her life, beginning at age 15, to her Order. She worked tirelessly to support the Order, taking on a variety of jobs at a local parish to keep contributing so that their good works would continue. These are the types of stories that are found in every parish, every school, nursing home or diocese that we visit. It is by far the strongest catalyst that is behind the motivation of CBS’s own mission to support such organizations.
One thing became clear very quickly this year—we have a team at CBS who care primarily about supporting the people whose mission is so invaluable. When I describe CBS to my friends, I simply say we help the people, who help the people. That is our goal in all that we do---let’s take away the administrative hassle that could interfere with their mission and let them do the work they so untiringly provide to so many with faith and zeal.
During this past year, we have been working to make significant advancements in leveraging technology to enhance our operations and better serve our members. By embracing digital transformation and investing in our business, we will be expanding our ability to further support our members. Through implementing innovative tools and systems in our divisions of Health, Risk, and Retirement, we are positioning ourselves as leaders in our industry without compromising our core values.
As we enter the next chapter of our journey, we will continue to build upon our foundation of faith, compassion, and excellence. CBS is diverse in its offerings, embracing the enterprising spirit of its origins, building upon its rich 60+ year-history serving Catholic organizations. Together, we will seek new avenues to expand our impact and respond to the evolving needs of our communities.
I am honored to serve as the leader of this remarkable organization, driven by the principles of our Catholic faith and committed to our shared mission. I extend my deepest gratitude to our partners and members for their unwavering support and commitment. I am confident that, with God's grace and our shared dedication, we will continue to fulfill our mission and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
Yours sincerely,Pat LynchPresident and CEOChristian Brothers Services
